PIENSA! Stiftung für Naturschutz und Naturbildung
Die PIENSA!-Stiftung ist eine gemeinnützige Stiftung mit Sitz in Wiesbaden. Gemäß unserer Satzung wollen wir den Naturschutz nachhaltig in der Gesellschaft verankern, indem wir Naturbildung fördern und mit interkulturellem Austausch verbinden.

Gemäß diesem von den Stiftern formulierten Auftrag und Leitgedanken steht das Kennenlernen der Natur von Kindern, Jugendlichen und jungen Erwachsenen im Zentrum unserer Arbeit.

  • Waste disposal on the other side of the world - different and yet very similar problems?

    For seven months, Kirsten Scheibke has been supporting the Argentinian NGO “Patrimonio Natural” as part of her voluntary service. In a detailed report, she provides information about the waste problems in her host country and shows ways in which the situation could be improved.

  • Third statewide Biodiversity Day in Baden-Württemberg on 15/16 June 2024

    In mid-June it's that time again. On June 15/16, 2024, the third statewide "Day of Biodiversity" will take place, coordinated by the Baden-Württemberg State Nature Conservation Association (LNV). Numerous lectures, guided tours and excursions will take place from Mannheim to Lake Constance. All events are shown on a map.

  • WATER: Exhibition and interactive web documentary in the House of City History Heusenstamm

    From June 8th to 16th you can visit the environmental exhibition "WATER & Water Stories" in the House of City History in Heusenstamm. Three multimedia stories provide alarming insights into the past and future of our water.

Erste Projektinitiative der PIENSA!-Stiftung

The PIENSA! Foundation launched its first own project initiative in 2019 under the project name "Diversity on our doorstep: Orchards as a place to learn and experience". After a break due to corona, we have taken up the project again and hope that the first Wiesbaden orchard school will be established very soon.

SwopShop Weltverändern: 4mal4 - ich tausch mit dir

In spring 2022, the PIENSA! Foundation presented its new and currently most important project "SwopShop World Change" at the 2nd Wiesbaden Education Conference. The pilot was successfully completed in March 2023. The expansion to up to three more Wiesbaden primary schools is now planned.

  • 11. August 2024

    Until August 11, all nature lovers can take part in the second round of the "NABU Insect Summer" equipped with a magnifying glass and a smartphone. The aim is to discover the buzzing and humming in the area for an hour and send what they discover to the organizers NABU, LBV and their partner naturgucker.de. Read more at www.nabu.de

  • In August it is "Bat Night time" again. Starting on August 20th, the "Eberbach Bat Nights" will be about the mysterious inhabitants of the venerable walls of Eberbach Monastery in the Rheingau. You will learn interesting, unknown and amazing facts about bats and use special detectors to track down these fascinating animals.

  • On September 6th and 7th, 2024, the Wiesbaden Volunteer Day will celebrate its 17th anniversary. A great opportunity for anyone who wants to volunteer and is looking for a chance to "take a look". We are still looking for lots of helping hands.

  • 26. September 2024

    Unter dem Thema „Globaler Zusammenhalt und Partizipation“ richtet das epn Hessen in Zusammenarbeit mit der Universität Kassel vom 26.09.2024 bis 28.09.2024 den WeltWeitWissen-Kongress an der Universität und im Stadtraum Kassel aus.

    We have already received a lot of positive feedback for our idea and initiative. We would like to intensify our work further. Please support us with your donation, as a supporting member or by taking on a project or educational sponsorship.

  • Since 2019, we have been supporting young people who decide to do international volunteer work in our field of activity 'Grants and Scholarships'. Since 2021, we have been focusing on the countries of Central and South America. Support us and secure our "Lama Pablo" as a thank you!

    Unterstützen Sie unsere Projektinitiative zum Aufbau von Schulpatenschaften für Streuobstflächen in Wiesbaden. Helfen Sie dabei, diese wertvollen Biotope langfristig zu erhalten.  Hier geht es zum Projekt.

  • Support the PIENSA! Foundation and FAPAS in expanding educational opportunities for schools in Asturias. According to the "Red List of Breeding Birds", the griffon vulture is extinct in Germany. Help preserve the population in Spain. Click here for the project.
